From a complete steering column to a separate cruise control or wiper stalk switch (e.g. 5K0953502M or 735521315).

A noticeable click when changing steering direction or a rattling noise under the dashboard often comes from a worn universal joint in the intermediate shaft — cheaper and quicker to replace than a complete steering rack. If your indicator no longer self-cancels or the wipers cut out, the steering column switch is the culprit. Check the OE number for a direct fit.
