Fluid loss or foam in the reservoir?
Porous or sweating pressure hoses are the most common cause of gradual fluid loss and a whining pump. Replace a discoloured or wet hose immediately and top up with fresh steering fluid; foam in the reservoir points to air being drawn in through a leaking return line. Check the OE number in the product title for the correct connections and length.
