Land Rover air suspension
Land Rover air suspension for virtually every generation with electronic self-levelling: the Range Rover P38 (1995-2002), the L322 (2002-2012), the Range Rover Sport L320 and L494, and the Discovery 2, 3 and 4. The range covers front air springs such as REB101740 and rear air springs RKB101460 for the P38, struts RNB501580 and RPD501110 for the Discovery 3/4 and Range Rover Sport, rear air springs RKB101200 for the Discovery 2 and compressors such as the ANR3731 (P38) and LR023964 (L320/L319). Air springs are available individually, per pair or as a complete set of four — a wise choice on an ageing car, because rubber ages equally fast on both sides.
Range Rover or Discovery dropping onto the bump stops?
If the car sits low on one corner after a night, the air spring or strut on that side is leaking. If it sags all round, stays in the lowest position or you hear the compressor labouring for minutes without result, the pump (or the desiccant element and relay) is worn. Crucial on these cars: a compressor rarely fails spontaneously — it has usually pumped itself to death against a leak. So whenever there is compressor damage, always replace the leaking air spring too, otherwise the cycle starts all over again.
