Volkswagen turbos

Volkswagen turbos for the Golf, Polo, Passat, Tiguan, Touran, Bora and Jetta, as well as for the commercial vehicles: Transporter T5/T6, Multivan, Caddy, Amarok, Crafter and LT. Many turbos also fit Audi, Seat and Škoda models with the same engine. From the classic 1.8T (K03/K04) and 1.9 TDI to the 1.2/1.4 TSI and 2.0 TDI/TFSI — as an original replacement or as an upgrade (K04 kits, IS38, universal T3/T4).

What to look out for

With VW the engine code is decisive: a 1.9 TDI exists as AXB, AXC, ARL or BKD, for example, each with a different turbo. You will find the code on the identification plate or in the service booklet. Also search by the OEM number of the old turbo, such as 53039880052 (K03-052, 1.8T) or 03L253014A (Amarok/Crafter 2.0 TDI). Unsure whether to choose a complete turbo or a separate CHRA cartridge? The cartridge is more economical, while the complete turbo can be fitted straight away.

Worth ordering at the same time

Always replace the oil feed and return lines during fitting and use new gaskets — oil contamination is the main cause of premature turbo failure. Boost pressure dropping away without worn bearings? Then check the actuator or vacuum actuator first; we supply these separately too.
