Gaskets & seals

Gaskets and seals keep oil, coolant and compression where they belong. In this collection you will find gasket sets by engine code — from sump gaskets (VW Passat) and valve cover gaskets to complete rebuild sets such as for the Chevrolet Small Block — alongside valve stem seals for the VW/Audi 1.8 TSI/TFSI, exhaust manifolds including gasket set, and rubbers for doors, windows and tailgates. Head gaskets are single-use

A head gasket compresses as it is torqued down and will never seal properly a second time — so reusing it is not an option, and the same goes for most metal manifold gaskets. When doing a rebuild, order the complete set in one go: it is cheaper than individual gaskets and you will not be left stranded halfway through the job. Always work with clean, flat sealing surfaces and use the correct torque in the prescribed sequence. If oil is seeping past the valve cover or sump, replace the gasket before the leak ends up on the exhaust.
