When is the steering rack due for replacement?
Oil stains around the front axle, damp steering gaiters, play around the centre position or heavy steering to one side point to a worn or leaking steering rack. Do not keep driving with it: a drained system will also damage the power steering pump. Always compare the OE number on your old steering rack with the number in the product title, replace the steering fluid after fitting and have the car aligned.
