Volkswagen Golf turbos

Volkswagen Golf turbos for the Golf 4, 5, 6 and 7: from the classic 1.8T (K03/K04) to the 1.2 and 1.4 TSI, the 1.9 and 2.0 TDI and the IS38 of the Golf 7 R. Alongside complete turbos you will find CHRA cartridges, actuators, vacuum canisters and oil lines; many parts also fit Audi, Seat and Škoda models with the same engine.

Complete turbo or separate CHRA?

If only the core assembly is worn — play on the shaft, oil consumption, blue smoke — a CHRA cartridge is the economical route: for example the core assembly for the Golf 5 2.0 TDI BKD/AZV (03G253014HV) or the IS38 cartridge (06K145874G) for the Golf 7 R and S3. If you want to fit straight away, choose a complete turbo, such as the K03-052 (53039880052) for the Golf 4 1.8T, the 53039880248 for the 1.4 TSI or the BV43 with exhaust manifold for the Golf 6 2.0 TDI (03L253056). Always check the engine code — several variants exist within a single model year (CAXA, CBZB, BKD, BMM) — and always replace the oil feed and return lines at the same time: oil contamination is the biggest turbo killer.
