Mercedes ML air suspension

Mercedes ML air suspension for the W164 (2005-2011) and W166/GLE, including the shared GL parts (X164/X166): Airmatic air springs, struts with and without ADS, compressors and valve blocks.

Air spring, strut or compressor?

At the front, the W164 has a complete air suspension strut — available without ADS (1643206013) or with ADS damping control (1643204413); so first check whether your car has the adaptive damping system. At the rear, a separate air spring is usually sufficient, such as the 1643201025 or A1643200625, individually or as a pair. For the W166/GLE we supply the rear air spring 1663200325 and the compressor A1663200104 with relay (2011-2016). If the car rises slowly, choose the compressor A1643201204 for the W164 — but track down any leaks first, because a continuously pumping compressor is usually the result of a leaking air spring, not the cause. This heavy SUV puts considerable load on the rear air springs; if you regularly tow a trailer or caravan, they will crack sooner, and it is wise to replace them in pairs.
