Choosing a sports set for RWD
Virtually all sets are intended for the rear-wheel-drive versions — so check that you are not driving a 4Matic before ordering. For the W203, alongside the standard sports set there is also an adjustable set specifically for the C320 (2001-2004); for the S203 estate we supply a separate version (such as for the C200 CGI), as we do for the W204 and the recent W205 RWD (2015-2021). Thanks to the shared underpinnings, a number of W203 sets also fit the CLK C209 (2002-2009). Do not wind the damping or spring preload fully firm straight away: a C-Class rides comfortably from the factory, so an overly firm setup is immediately noticeable in daily use. Lower moderately and have a wheel alignment carried out after fitting.
