Petrol smell or an EVAP fault code?
A stuck purge valve causes a petrol smell around the car, rough idling after refuelling and fault codes in the EVAP system — a small part that solves a lot of trouble. For project cars: always use fuel-resistant AN hose with the correct size fittings, and on diesels fit a water separator to protect the pump and injectors.
