    Carburettors and rebuild parts for classics, youngtimers, V8s and tractors: Weber-style 38/38 DGEV and twin 40IDF/48IDA sets for the VW Beetle and Porsche 912/356, 600 CFM 4-barrel carburettors for the Chevy 305/350 V8 (Holley 4160/Edelbrock 1405 type), the Ford 2100 for the 289/302/351, and versions for the Toyota 22R and Corolla 4AF, Nissan/Datsun and Ford/New Holland and Farmall tractors. Also a synchroniser tester with four gauges for multi-carburettor set-ups.

    Flooding or a wandering idle speed?

    Poor cold starting, flooding or an idle speed that keeps wandering usually points to worn needle valves, dried-out gaskets or an incorrectly set float. With twin carburettors, synchronisation is half the job — hence the synchroniser tester. When replacing, choose a version with an electric choke for trouble-free cold starting and match the CFM rating to the engine displacement.
