Audi connecting rods
Audi connecting rods in forged 4340 steel with ARP 2000 bolts, for the 1.8T (A3, A4, A6, S3, TT), 1.4 TFSI, the 2.7T biturbo from the S4 and RS4, the VR6 and the classic five-cylinder turbos from the S2, RS2 and the urquattro (3B, AAN). Uprated sets are also available for the 1.9/2.0 TDI PD diesels.
Essential with increased boost pressure
Anyone seriously uprating a 1.8T or 2.7T runs into the limits of the original rods — a thrown connecting rod means the end of the block. Our H-beam sets (including 144 mm for the 1.8T, rated up to 800 hp) can take those forces; I-beam versions are available for those building light and high-revving. Check the pin diameter (19 or 20 mm on the 1.8T) and replace the big-end bearings at the same time.
