Wheel bearings, hubs & spacers

Wheel bearings, wheel hubs and wheel spacers for the front and rear axle. Complete hub-bearing units (often with an integrated ABS ring) for the Audi A4/A5/Q5, Ford Focus and C-Max, VW Golf and Caddy, Mercedes E-Class, Opel Astra and Land Rover Discovery, among others. Plus aluminium wheel spacers from 5 to 30 mm for BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes and Porsche, as well as fitting and bushing tools.

Humming or droning noise that changes with speed?

A worn wheel bearing is recognised by a droning or humming noise that increases with speed and changes through corners: if the noise gets louder when you steer left and quieter when you steer right, the faulty bearing is almost always on the right-hand side (the loaded side) — and vice versa. With the car on a lift, also check for play by gripping the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock. When ordering, pay attention to the ABS version: many hubs have a magnetic ring or sensor that differs per version. For spacers: choose the correct bolt pattern and centre bore (e.g. 5x112/66.5 or 5x120/72.6) and use matching, longer bolts.
