Volkswagen air suspension for the Touareg 7L and 7P, the Phaeton, the Crafter 2E/2F (and LT35) and the Amarok. The Touareg shares its system with the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7: front air springs such as 7L6616040E and compressors such as the 7L0698853 (7L) and 7P0698007C (7P) fit several makes. For the Phaeton — and the related Bentley Continental — we supply front struts 3D0616039 and compressors; for the Crafter and Amarok auxiliary suspension sets with brackets for heavily loaded driving. You will also find ride height sensors for the headlight levelling in this collection.
Touareg or Phaeton losing height?
One low corner after a night parked means a leaking air spring or strut in that position. If the car rises slowly all round or no longer reaches ride height while the compressor keeps running, the pump or the relay is worn. If the compressor was killed by a leak, fit a new air spring at the same time — otherwise the same fate awaits the new pump.
