Lowering without losing comfort
A drop of 25-35 mm gives tighter handling and better-filled wheel arches, while the standard dampers usually still cope just fine. Always replace springs in axle pairs and have the wheel alignment checked afterwards — the changed ride height alters the wheel geometry. A broken standard spring is recognised by a clunk when turning in and a car that sits unevenly; if you find one, check the spring on the other side straight away, as it often fails soon after.
