Warning light with a soot-related fault code?
Emission faults are often connected: a stuck EGR valve fouls the intake manifold, after which the DPF clogs up faster and the temperature sensors give false readings. So read the fault code first and work from front to back — clean or replace the EGR and intake first, and only then assess the DPF. That way you prevent a new filter from clogging up again within weeks.
