Toyota connecting rods
Toyota connecting rods in forged 4340 steel with ARP 2000 bolts, for legends such as the 2JZ-GTE and 1JZ-GTE from the Supra, the 4A-GE from the AE86, the 3S-GTE from the Celica and MR2 and the 4E-FTE from the Starlet GT Turbo. Also sets for everyday engines such as the 1ZZ/2ZR, 1NZ-FE, 5S-FE, 22R(E) and the modern 8NR-FT turbo.
Strong block, stronger rods
The 2JZ is known to be rock solid, but above 600 hp forged rods are a sensible move — for the smaller turbo engines that point comes much earlier. Choose H-beam for maximum strength under high boost pressure, I-beam for low weight at high revs, and check the length (142 mm for the 2JZ, 122 mm for the 4A-GE) before ordering. Always replace the bearings at the same time.
