Toyota CHRA / cartridges
The CHRA cartridge forms the inner workings of every turbocharger: a balanced shaft with compressor and turbine wheel in a bearing-fitted centre housing, ready to fit into your original turbo housing. For Toyota we supply, among others, the CT16 and CT19 for the 2.5 D-4D (2KD-FTV) of the Hilux and Hiace, cartridges for the 3.0 D-4D (1KD-FTV), the VB16 for the RAV4 and Auris 2.2 D-4D 177 hp, the 2.0 D-4D of the Corolla and Avensis, and classics such as the CT26 for the Celica 4WD with 3S-GTE and the Land Cruiser 4.2 TD. When fitting, check that the oil feed is clean, otherwise the new cartridge will quickly fail again. Choose by the OEM number of your old turbo, for example 17201-30080 for the Hilux 2KD-FTV.
