Starter motor clicks but the engine does not crank?
A single dry click with a fully charged battery means the solenoid engages but the armature does not turn — usually worn carbon brushes or a jammed bendix drive. First clean the battery terminals and measure the voltage while cranking: if it drops well below 10 V, the problem lies with the battery or earth cable rather than the starter motor. When replacing, check the number of teeth on the pinion and the power rating in kW; both are listed in our product titles.
