Shock absorbers & struts
Shock absorbers and struts for the front and rear axle, individually or as a complete set with strut mounts. The range covers the BMW 1, 3, 5 and 7 Series (E90, F20, E60, G11), Mercedes C, E and M-Class, Audi A2/A3/A6, VW Golf, Opel Insignia, Toyota Corolla and Land Rover Discovery, among others — including versions with electronic damping (ADS/Flexride) and adjustable sport dampers.
When do shock absorbers need replacing?
If the car keeps bouncing after a speed bump, dives heavily under braking or a tyre wears in patches, the damping is worn out. Oil on the damper body and an unsettled course in crosswinds are clear signals too. Always replace shock absorbers in axle pairs — left and right together — otherwise the car brakes and steers unevenly. When removing the strut, replace the strut mounts and dust boots at the same time: they are inexpensive and the labour cost is already covered anyway. On cars with electronic damping, check for the correct connector and the right variant for your version.
