Weak cooling water stream or rising temperature?
The impeller is a wear part: the rubber vanes stiffen, break off and the cooling fails — often at just the wrong moment on open water. Replace it every season or every hundred running hours, and always immediately after running dry, because without water an impeller melts within seconds. Take the wear plate, gaskets and O-rings at the same time; these come as standard in our complete water pump kits, so the pump delivers at full capacity again.
