Mini CHRA / cartridges
A CHRA cartridge or core assembly contains the complete rotating contents of your turbo: the shaft with compressor and turbine wheel, mounted on bearings in the centre housing and factory balanced. On Mini's compact turbos, oil contamination quickly leads to shaft play, and then such a cartridge is the cost-effective remedy. We have cartridges for the 1.6 of the Cooper S and JCW (R55 to R61, N14/EP6), the 2.0 SD diesel of the Clubman, Countryman and Paceman, the Cooper D with BV35 turbo and the newer Cooper based on the BMW B38 block. A K03 cartridge for the Roadster Cooper Works with 155 kW is available too. Select by the OEM or turbo number of your old turbo, for example 53039880146 for the Cooper S/JCW 1.6 EP6, so that wheels and housing match exactly.
