Kia CHRA / cartridges

A CHRA cartridge (Core Housing Rotating Assembly) is the complete rotating core of the turbo, which you fit into the existing housing — quicker and cheaper than replacing an entire turbocharger. For Kia we have cartridges for the 2.0 CRDi (D4HA) of the Sportage, the 2.2 CRDi of the Sorento UM, the 1.6 CRDi of the XCeed and Sportage V, the 1.5/1.6 CRDi of the Ceed, Cerato and Rio, and the petrol versions 1.0 and 1.4 T-GDi of the Proceed and Xceed. Even the Bongo K2500 is covered. Many cartridges are identical to the Hyundai version with the same engine code, so search by engine code plus the OEM or turbo number of your old turbo — for example 28201-2A110 for the Ceed 110 hp. That way you can be certain the cartridge fits exactly.
