Jeep suspension
For a Jeep, the suspension is about two things: reliability on the road and freedom off it. In this collection you will find lift kits and leveling kits from 2 to 3 inches for the Wrangler TJ, JK and JL, Cherokee XJ, Grand Cherokee ZJ, WJ and WK2, Compass, Patriot and Liberty. In addition: adjustable track bars and panhard rods, (adjustable) control arms for the front and rear axle, shock absorbers, sway bar links and wheel spacers.
Lift in balance: upgrade the track bar and control arms too
If you raise your Jeep by 2 to 3 inches, you change the geometry of the solid axles: the axle shifts sideways and the caster angle decreases. So with a substantial lift, also fit an adjustable track bar and, from around 3 inches, adjustable or longer control arms. That way you avoid a crooked track, heavy steering and the notorious 'death wobble' — that violent shaking around 60-80 km/h that can almost always be traced back to play in the track bar, control arm ball joints or steering damper. If you drive off-road a lot, check the rubbers and bushings at every service: mud and water shorten their lifespan considerably. Replace bushings in axle pairs and only tighten them at ride height, otherwise they stay permanently under tension.
