Honda connecting rods
Honda connecting rods in forged 4340 steel with ARP 2000 bolts, for the B, D, F, H, K and L series: from the B16A and B18C in the Civic and Integra to the K20/K24, H22, F22 and the modern L15 turbo engines in the Fit, Jazz and Civic. Sets are also available for Honda motorcycles such as the CBR900RR, CBR1000RR and CBR1100XX Blackbird.
H-beam or I-beam?
VTEC engines rev high, so stronger rods are no unnecessary luxury when tuning. H-beam versions are the strongest under high boost pressure (sets rated up to 800 hp for the L15B), while the lighter I-beam rods for the K20 and B series rev up quickly in naturally aspirated builds. Always replace the big-end bearings during fitting and have the set balanced.
