Throttle bodies
Throttle bodies complete with stepper motor and throttle position sensor, for petrol and diesel: Renault Clio/Kangoo/Twingo (7700108120), Audi/VW 1.8T (06A133062B) and 1.2/1.4 TSI (03F133062B), Opel Astra/Corsa, Volvo C30/S60/V70, BMW 135i/335i N55 and diesel versions for the Audi A6 3.0 TDI (059145950R), sometimes combined with an EGR valve. Also separate idle control valves, such as for the BMW E30/E36.
Jerky throttle response or idle too high?
Contamination or a worn stepper motor causes jerky throttle response, a wandering or excessively high idle speed and fault codes on the throttle position sensor. Cleaning sometimes helps temporarily, but with worn gears or a worn sensor track, replacement is the only lasting solution. After fitting, have the throttle body re-adapted (relearned) with a diagnostic tester, otherwise the idle speed will keep hanging.
