EGR valves
EGR valves and EGR coolers for virtually every popular diesel and petrol engine: VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda 1.9 and 2.0 TDI (03G131501, 03L131512CF), VW Polo 1.2 TDI with cooler (03P131512B), Opel/Vauxhall 1.3 and 1.7 CDTi, Renault and Nissan dCi (8200411031, 8200797708), Mercedes CDI from the A-Class to the Sprinter, and Ford/Peugeot/Citroën/Volvo TDCi and HDi (9681825280). Also separate EGR coolers, such as for the Audi A3/VW Golf 1.9-2.0 TDI (03G131512AD), and pressure converters.
Warning light and hesitation at low revs?
The EGR valve recirculates exhaust gas back to the intake to reduce NOx — and that very soot stream is its downfall. Soot deposits make the valve seize, resulting in an engine warning light, rough idling, smoke and loss of power (limp mode). Cleaning rarely helps for long: with a worn valve seat or stepper motor, replacement is the lasting solution. When fitting, also clean the soot out of the intake manifold and check any EGR cooler for internal leakage, recognisable by coolant loss without a visible leak spot. Compare the OE number to be sure of the correct version.
