Control arms & steering knuckles
Control arms, steering knuckles and steering parts: individual control arms with ball joint, complete wishbone kits (8-, 10- or 12-piece), adjustable camber and toe arms and matching bushings. Single control arm or a complete kit?
Rattling over speed bumps, a floaty steering feel and uneven tyre wear point to worn control arm bushings or play in a ball joint. If one arm has failed, the other bushings of the same age are usually near the end too — on cars with many arms per wheel (such as the BMW E46 or Mercedes W203), a complete kit is often cheaper than replacing parts three times separately, and you only need to align the wheels once. Only tighten rubber bushings to final torque with the car resting on its wheels, otherwise they stay permanently under tension. A wheel alignment is mandatory after every replacement.
