Citroën turbos

Prevent repeat failure on the HDi
On the 1.6 HDi — for example with the GT1544V turbo (753420) — a contaminated oil feed is the classic cause of turbo failure. So always fit a new oil feed line with strainer and change the oil, otherwise the new turbo will fail too. For the C4 Picasso 1.6 HDi/BlueHDi 115 there is a direct replacement (9686120680), and for the Jumper 2.0 HDi the BV43 (53039880411). If the engine maintains boost pressure but runs unevenly, a separate actuator or boost pressure converter may also be the solution instead of a complete turbo.
How to find the right one
The most reliable starting point is the OEM number on your old turbo: search by it and you will immediately see the matching replacement. You can also use the make/model/year finder at the top of the page; when in doubt, check the engine code, because HDi variants with different power outputs use different turbos.
