Chevrolet CHRA / cartridges
The CHRA cartridge is the inner workings of the turbocharger — shaft, compressor wheel, turbine wheel and bearings — which you swap as a complete, balanced unit while the turbo housing stays on the engine. For Chevrolet we supply cartridges for the 1.4 Turbo petrol engine of the Cruze, Sonic and Trax (also used in the Buick Encore), the 1.3 diesel of the Aveo, the 2.0 diesel of the Cruze and Orlando and the 2.2 diesel of the Captiva. Many of these turbos are technically identical to the Opel version with the same engine code, so you can cross-search there as well. When ordering, go by the OEM or turbo number of your old turbo, for example 55565353 for the Cruze/Trax 1.4L, and a fitment error is ruled out.
