Fuel pumps
Fuel pumps in every version: in-tank and lift pumps for the BMW E30/E46 and 5 Series E60, Ford Focus/Fiesta and Volvo S60/V70, diesel pumps for the VW Passat and the 1.6-2.0 TDI (1K0919050J), high-pressure pumps for VW/Audi TSI (03C127025T) and Ford EcoBoost, and even motorcycle pumps for the BMW R1100/R1150 and Suzuki SV650. For tuning and motorsport there is the external 255LPH high-flow pump.
Loud humming or stalling with a warm engine?
An increasingly loud humming pump, difficult starting when warm or hesitation at full load are the classic warning signs of failure. Measure the pressure and flow before replacing and rule out a clogged fuel filter. On modern petrol engines, note the difference between the electric in-tank pump and the mechanical high-pressure pump on the engine — both are in this category, and the OE number points the way.
