BMW air suspension

How to find the culprit in the BMW air suspension system

If the BMW sits lower on one side or corner after a night parked, the air spring or strut on that side is leaking. If the rear axle sags on both sides, the car rises slowly to ride height or the compressor keeps pumping for a long time, the pump or the relay is worn. When replacing a broken compressor, always check the air springs and replace the leaking ones: they overloaded the pump and will otherwise wreck the new one too.
