BMW connecting rods
BMW connecting rods in forged H-beam 4340 steel with ARP 2000 bolts, for virtually every popular BMW engine: from the classic M10 and M30 via the M52 and S50/S54 to the modern N20, N54 and N55/S55 turbo engines. Sets are also available for the M60/M62 V8s and the S38 from the M5, as well as for the S1000RR motorcycle.
When to upgrade?
With significantly increased boost pressure — think of an N54 or N55 on big turbos — the original rods are the first weak link. Forged H-beam rods can take those forces; various sets are rated up to 800 hp. Always check the length and pin diameter (for example 135 mm for the M52B28) and replace the big-end bearings at the same time.
