Driveshafts & axle shafts
Drive shafts (CV axles) and half shafts, supplied complete with CV joints and often as a left + right set. Strongly represented: rear axle shafts for the BMW 1/2/3/4 Series and 5 Series (E46, E60/E61, E90, F20/F30 — including 33208680347 and 33207572419) and front drive shafts for the VW Polo/Caddy, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia, Audi A1, Ford Fiesta and Focus MK3/C-MAX and Opel Corsa C. Clicking noise in corners?
A clicking or rattling noise when turning in points to a worn outer CV joint; vibrations under acceleration point to the inner joint. A torn CV boot is where it starts: dirt and water destroy the joint within a few thousand kilometres. Replacing the complete shaft is then quicker and often barely more expensive than pressing on a single CV joint. When ordering, check the side (left/right), transmission type (manual or automatic) and ABS ring, and compare the OE number in the title.
